BY BICYCLE

THROUGH THE QUARRIES MOUNTAIN BIKING

Cycle in the direction of Aldeia de S. Gregório (S. Gregório Village), go through the vines and go to Convento da Luz / Light Convent. Continue through impressive marble quarries and learn about the "White Gold" industry. Visit Bencatel and at the end return to Monte Branco. Our more active guests can go up a hill made of marble rocks and for those who are really brave, Serra d\'Ossa is available!

IF YOU WANT TO WALK TO ÉVORA, YOU CAN ALSO DO THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES (the advantage is that it is cheaper and the number of minimum participants is lower)

ÉVORA BIKE&HIKE TOUR

Make the most of the enormous advantage of being in Évora, a city classified as World Heritage, full of history in all its nooks and crannies. Discover on foot the Aqueduto da Água da Prata – Silver Water Aqueduct, built in the 16th century, and follow it from the city to the countryside, through farms and estates, visiting the remains of the original aqueduct, beautiful landscape and a lot of flora and fauna.

After 8 kilometres you will reach Monte do Serrado de Baixo, and a refreshment will be waiting for you under a lemon tree. Return to Évora by bicycle, using the ecotrail, a dirt track always slightly downward in trajectory, built on an old railway line

A well-spent day, as a couple or as a family, and a chance for children to participate as well.

NOTE: Experienced cyclists can do the whole trip by bike.

ROCKS WITH HISTORY

By bicycle, set off in the direction of the green areas of Valverde and Guadalupe where some of the most emblematic parts of the archaeological heritage of the Évora region are: the cromeleque - cromlech and menir dos Almendres - menhir of Almendres, Anta do Zambujeiro, the ruins of Castelo de Giraldo / Giraldo Castle and the ruins of the termas romanas de Tourega - Tourega roman baths. Somewhere in the shadow of a holm oak, celebrate history with a happy hour typical of the Alentejo region.
